Recently, a new C-Trap® optical tweezers was successfully installed at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in the lab of Prof. Christian Kaiser.
The optical tweezers will be used for the study of the mechanical properties of protein (un)folding and for the investigation of the molecular mechanisms involved in protein biogenesis. Progress in this field will ultimately aid in the understanding of how cells make functional proteins. We wish Prof. Kaiser and his group success with the optical tweezers and their research!
