Two successful Optical Tweezers-Fluorescence Microscopy workshops, organized by LUMICKS, took place on April 18-20, 2017 at the Rockefeller University in New York. A total of ten participants joined the practical hands-on workshops, which included in-depth lectures and demonstrations on the latest developments and applications of the C-Trap®. During the workshops, the participants experienced how optical tweezers combined with fluorescence microscopy and microfluidics can be used to visualize DNA overstretching transitions under mechanical stress and measure DNA polymerase activity in real-time.
