Another exciting installation in the Netherlands! This time we installed the second C-Trap® Optical Tweezers-Fluorescence Microscopy in the Department of Bionanoscience at the TU Delft, a top tier Dutch university. The system was installed in the lab of Prof. Nynke Dekker.
The Nynke Dekker Lab studies the cellular process involved in DNA replication in viral, bacterial and eukaryotic systems, from a biophysical perspective. The C-Trap fits well with the group’s specific interest in the dynamic aspects of replication. The combination of optical tweezers with simultaneous multicolor fluorescence measurements allows the users to correlate the mechanical properties of the DNA with the protein activity.
We wish Prof. Dekker and her team good luck with their ongoing research, and are eager to see the results!
Do you want to discuss the benefits of the C-Trap for your research? Meet our application scientists at one of the conferences we are attending, or contact us for a demo, the brochure or a quote.
