On October 10-12, the lab of Prof. Shixin Liu at the Rockefeller University in New York hosted two successful workshops on Optical Tweezers-Fluorescence Microscopy, organized by LUMICKS.
During the practical hands-on workshops, the participants learned about the latest developments and applications of the C-Trap®. Furthermore, together with our application scientists, they conducted single- and multicolor force-fluorescence measurements to investigate DNA repair, mechanics, overstretching and DNA molecular motors, experiencing first-hand the ease-of-use and capabilities of the instrument.
In addition, Prof. Shixin Liu gave a lecture to the participants, during which he reviewed the importance of mechanical forces to study biological processes and discussed how he utilizes the C-Trap® in his research to investigate the role of biological machines in cellular processes.
We would like to thank Prof. Shixin Liu for hosting the workshop and all the participant for joining us!
