Single-Molecule Workshop at LUMICKS Amsterdam

During June 4-5, a captivating single-molecule workshop was given at the headquarters of LUMICKS in Amsterdam. Throughout the workshop, the participants were introduced to our second-generation (G2 line) apparatus and got the chance to perform multiple investigations on them.

We started off with the C-trap™, our optical tweezers-fluorescence microscope, and performed experiments to investigate DNA mechanics and DNA-protein interactions. Together with our application scientists, the workshop participants captured single DNA strands, followed by effectuating several structural transitions upon them while visualising them in real-time. Afterwards, they got to discover the power of sound by using state-of-the-art AFS™ technology and investigated the molecular responses of DNA to force transitions in both high-throughput and at the single-molecule level. We thank all the participants for joining us!

Also interested in capturing some DNA strands? The next workshops will take place from September to November at multiple locations. For registration or more information, visit our workshop page!
