Single-Molecule Workshop at the Rockefeller University

Single-molecule Workshop at the Rockefeller University

A successful Single-molecule workshop took place on April 17 to 18 at the Rockefeller University in New York, organized by LUMICKS.

During the practical hands-on workshop, the participants performed state-of-the-art single-molecule experiments to examine DNA mechanicsrepair, and DNA molecular motors. They also attended demonstrations given by our application scientists on the latest developments and applications of the C-Trap® and AFS™.

In addition, Prof. Arne Gennerich from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine gave a lecture to the participants, during which he discussed how he uses single-molecule methods to dissect the mechanisms of cytoplasmic dynein motion and force generation.

We would like to thank Prof. Shixin for hosting the workshop, Prof. Arne Gennerich for presenting his work, and all the participants for joining us!

Interested in attending one of our workshops? The next one will take place at our headquarters in Amsterdam at the beginning of June. Apply now on our workshop page. To see which other events LUMICKS is attending, visit our events page.
